Trying to find good Asian food in Albuquerque, New Mexico is sometimes an exercise in futility. Sure there are sushi shops on every corner, but as one of those complicated types who can’t eat rice (long story), there isn’t much to choose from outside of chain restaurants.
There are a few great places over in Nob Hill (the University District), most notably, my favorite “Street Food Asia”. The staff is great, the chef personally comes out to check on everyone, and the ambiance resides some place between hipster and chic. Should you try it? Well, that’s up to you… but if you do, definitely go for the Portabella Mushroom dish (pictured below).
