Yesterday Leslie and I trekked over to Boca Negra Canyon, just outside of the Petroglyph National Monument on Albuquerque’s westside. Mind you, there are no facilities, no real “parking” and does require about a 1/10th of a mile’s drive off road. However, I’ve been there many times before with plenty of protections in place (sheets, blankets, towels and water) and have had wonderful experiences shooting out in the desert.
