Last week, I did a location photo shoot with local musical recording artist Envee (you can check her out here on ReverbNation). We deviated away from her typical look, and I deviated away from my usual style of photography.
I’ve been working quite a bit recently, to add a more artistic edge to my photography. However, I still want to maintain the “authenticity” (if you will) of a photograph looking like a photograph. Call me crazy, but I like my skies blue, and my grasses green and my skin tones natural. However, sometimes a slight shift from the real into the surreal actually does work sometimes.
Granted, she looks almost like a zombie in these pictures; I think they’re fun and add a little something that would be otherwise lacking if indeed the skies stayed blue and the grasses stayed green.
