Every Wednesday night, there is a fantastic community resource available for all levels of photographers, models, makeup artists and stylists called Guerrilla Photo Group in downtown Albuquerque.
It is free, open to all who are interested in learning, collaborating and sharing. I try to make it down as often as possible to hone my studio photography skills, meet other people and hang out with other photo-geeks to talk shop. (I try to talk about photography here at home, and four sets of eyes glaze over within minutes…)
Dianna and Mimi were all dolled up and ready to shoot as stand-in models, and since their looks were so opposite of each other – Dianna being the “good little girl” and Mimi being “just a little punky” we went with a “theme”.
The images are processed hard to suit the mood and feel, and we all had a great time.
If you’re a photo-geek, (or photographer, into photography or modeling) and located here in ABQ, drop in some Wednesday night. Everyone at GPG is very laid back and welcoming. You’ll be glad you did.
