These portraits were taken during a trip back east to Virginia. Working in humidity and fog was different to say the least (average relative humidity here in New Mexico is about 6% at any given time). I must say I am envious of my fellow photographers from various locations with regular and consistent access to fog, cloud cover and moisture to have such delicate and fair light to work with.
Oh, and there was green. So much green… just lovely.
I was asked to process these a little “dark” and moody so I pulled from my more artistic side and processed these in that fashion.
Ooooooh. Your niece has that classic beauty and I LOVE the way she wore her hair. Nice vignetting, particularly like those shots with the vibrant greens of the grass and grape vines in the background. Double thumbs up!
we have no grape vines in our yard
Steph, Thanks!
DD, you’re right, I think Steph saw those gourds and thought “grapes”. Your yard is beautiful all the same!!
Such a nice warm feel to these portraits. Beautiful work
